Delhi to Nainital (approx. 320 km / 6–7 hrs)
Drive from Delhi to Nainital, the Lake City of Kumaon, set in the foothills of the Outer Himalayas. Check in to the hotel; rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, take a relaxing walk to the famous Naini Lake and Mall Road, watching the lights of the town reflect on the calm water. Overnight in Nainital.
Nainital Full-Day Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore Nainital's scenic highlights — a cable car ride up to Snow View Point for panoramic Himalayan vistas, a boat ride at Boating Club, a stroll along the cool Thandi Sadak (Cold Road), and visits to the nearby lakes of Bhimtal, Sattal and Naukuchia Tal. Evening free for shopping on Mall Road or a visit to Naina Devi Temple at the lake shore. Overnight in Nainital.
Nainital to Almora
After breakfast, drive to Almora — a crescent-shaped ridge town at 1,638 m, known for its unspoiled forests, Kumaoni culture and stunning views of the Greater Himalayan range. Check in and spend the afternoon exploring the old bazaar and the distinctive Kumaoni temples. Overnight in Almora.
Almora — Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Excursion
After breakfast, drive about 30 minutes to the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary — a dense oak and rhododendron forest at 2,400 m, home to leopards, barking deer and over 200 species of birds. On a clear day, the Zero Point viewpoint reveals an unbroken 300-km panorama of Himalayan peaks including Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trisul and Nanda Devi. Return to Almora for dinner and overnight stay.
Almora to Delhi — Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Delhi. Drop at Delhi airport or railway station for your onward journey.
