Darjeeling Full-Day Sightseeing
4:00 AM drive to Tiger Hill for the spectacular Kanchenjunga sunrise, returning via Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop war memorial. Post-breakfast Darjeeling 7-point circuit — Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoo (both closed Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed Sundays), Tea Garden outer view, Japanese Peace Pagoda and Ropeway (ride payable directly). Dinner and overnight in Darjeeling.
Darjeeling to Kalimpong
After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong — a quiet hill town at 1,250 m above the Teesta river gorge, famous for its orchid and flower nurseries, unique fusion of Lepcha, Gorkha and colonial heritage. Sightseeing covers Delo Hill viewpoint, orchid and flower nurseries, the historic Dr. Graham's Homes (a century-old school), and a local Buddhist monastery. Dinner and overnight in Kalimpong.
Kalimpong to Gangtok
After breakfast, drive to Gangtok and check in to the hotel. Afternoon half-day city sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed Sundays), Flower Show garden, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms (closed Sundays), and the Gangtok Cable Car (direct payment). Evening free at MG Marg. Dinner and overnight in Gangtok.
Tsomgo Lake Excursion
Morning half-day excursion to the sacred Tsomgo (Changu) Lake at 3,780 m — an oval glacial lake 32 km from Gangtok, 1 km long and up to 15 m deep, considered holy by the Sikkimese. Afternon back at Gangtok; evening free for shopping and leisure. Dinner and overnight in Gangtok.
Gangtok to Bagdogra / NJP — Departure
As per your schedule, transfer to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey home.
