Darjeeling Full-Day Sightseeing
4:00 AM drive to Tiger Hill for the legendary Kanchenjunga sunrise. Return via Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop spiral war memorial. After breakfast, the Darjeeling 7-point circuit — Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoo (closed Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed Sundays), Tea Garden outer view, Japanese Peace Pagoda and the Ropeway (ride payable directly). Dinner and overnight in Darjeeling.
Darjeeling to Kalimpong
After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong. Sightseeing covers the Delo Hill viewpoint with Kanchenjunga backdrop, orchid and flower nurseries, Dr. Graham's Homes and a local Buddhist monastery. Dinner and overnight in Kalimpong.
Kalimpong to Pelling (West Sikkim)
After breakfast, drive to Pelling in West Sikkim — a quiet hilltop town offering arguably the finest ground-level view of the Kanchenjunga massif in all of Sikkim. Check in and spend the afternoon at the iconic Pemayangtse Monastery (17th century, one of Sikkim's oldest and most important gompas) and the Rabdentse Ruins (former capital of Sikkim, a 45-minute jungle walk). Evening: soak in the unobstructed Kanchenjunga panorama from the hotel or Pemayangste hilltop. Dinner and overnight in Pelling.
Pelling to Gangtok
After breakfast, drive to Gangtok and check in to the hotel. Afternoon half-day city tour — Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed Sundays), Flower Show garden, Handicrafts and Handlooms Directorate (closed Sundays) and the Gangtok Cable Car (direct payment). Evening at MG Marg. Dinner and overnight in Gangtok.
Gangtok to Lachung (North Sikkim, approx. 115 km / 5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive north along the Teesta and Lachen rivers through dramatic gorges and waterfalls to Lachung — a beautiful high-altitude village at 2,750 m in North Sikkim. En route, stop at the famous Naga (Seven Sisters) Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Falls. Check in to your guesthouse or camp; evening walk through the traditional Lachung village. Dinner and overnight in Lachung.
Yumthang Valley & Return to Gangtok
Rise early for the drive to Yumthang Valley (3,564 m) — the famous 'Valley of Flowers' of Sikkim, carpeted with alpine blooms (primulas, rhododendrons, Himalayan orchids and gentians) in spring and framed by towering snow peaks. Optional further drive to Zero Point at 4,940 m where the road ends at the snowline (direct payment). Return to Lachung for breakfast, then drive back to Gangtok for check-in. Dinner and overnight in Gangtok.
Tsomgo Lake Excursion & Departure
Morning half-day trip to the sacred Tsomgo (Changu) Lake at 3,780 m — 32 km from Gangtok — for a final alpine experience. Return to Gangtok and transfer to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station as per your schedule, closing a complete East Himalayan adventure.
